Con molto entusiasmo Untangle Inc ha annunciato il rilascio della release 6.0 di Untangle (The Open Source Network Gateway) disponibile per il download .

Molte le novità:

• 1) Web GUI, il vecchio client Java Swing è stato sostituito da una nuova e migliorata interfaccia Web 2.0;

• 2) Language Pack, in versione Beta, attualmente spagnolo, tedesco, portoghese brasiliano, e cinese. Il Team di Untangle stà lavorando ad altre regionalizzazioni;

• 3) Manager Branding, permette di inserire il logo aziendale e la customizzazione della interfaccia utente;

• 4) eSoft,applicazione Web Filter progettato per le imprese, scuole, biblioteche;

Key highlights of the release:

1. Web GUI
The Java Swing client has been replaced by a new and improved Web 2.0 interface, delivering faster load time, expanded functionality, and new capabilities like skins and language packs.

2. Language Packs (Beta)
The capability for language support exists for the majority of the product. The first four languages expected by end of year are Spanish, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Chinese. We are continuing to improve and refine this capability with more to come as we move through beta. 3. Branding Manager
Now an official module, it is easier than ever to replace the Untangle name and logo with your company name and logo in the user interface. 4. eSoft Web Filter application
Designed for businesses, schools, and libraries that need to strictly enforce their web usage policy.
